Ray Gilmore

Ray is a licensed Counselor Trainee (CT) in the state of Ohio under the direct supervision of John-Paul Dombrowski LPCCS. Originally from the Washington, D.C. area, Ray Gilmore began his academic journey studying philosophy and theology. He is currently in his final year at Franciscan University, pursuing a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a concentration in trauma and crisis counseling.

Ray’s professional interests center on attachment theory and Internal Family Systems (IFS), with a particular focus on how early life experiences and key relationships shape the way individuals engage with the world. He is dedicated to fostering a therapeutic relationship that is both authentic and collaborative—one that embraces challenges and supports clients in the meaningful work of healing.

Outside of the therapy room, Ray enjoys playing guitar and training in Brazilian jiu jitsu.
